Stock: Once the seven piles are set up, the remaining 24 cards will be placed in the upper left corner.Only the top cards of each pile are faced up. The first pile is composed of one card, the second two cards, and so forth. Tableau Piles: The tableau has seven piles of cards shaped in a triangle formation. The Foundation: The foundation refers to the four empty spaces at the top of the area, which is where you will organize the cards from an Ace to a King in order of their respective suits.Klondike Solitaire turn 3 stands out as a favored variant of the classic Solitaire game, distinguished by its heightened complexity and deeper strategic dimensions. You can play free Klondike Solitaire turn 3 online on our platform with no download! How to Play Klondike Solitaire Turn 3? The main goal of the game is to eliminate all of the cards in the stock and tableau, placing them in the four foundations in ascending order from an Ace to a King. If you want to enjoy a simpler and more relaxing version of the game, try Klondike Solitaire turn one. This is why it is also called 3 card Solitaire. Essentially, this is very similar to the classic Solitaire, but with this version, players can only draw three cards from the stock. The game is completed when all cards are collected in four foundation piles in the correct order and sorted by suit.īefore you start to play Klondike Solitaire turn 3, you might be wondering what exactly it is. To reveal cards and add them to the waste pile, simply click on the stock located in the upper left corner. In situations where there are no available moves left on the tableau, you can start introducing new cards from the stockpile. You may move cards onto and off the foundations. As soon as any of the seven tableau columns is empty, you can move the King or a pile starting with the King (and only the King) to an empty space. When you move an open card from the pile, the underlying closed card is turned over.Instead of dragging cards to a foundation, you have the option to double-click them. You can drag card piles from one tableau column to another. You can always start building a pile with any card, not necessarily the King. You can only stack cards in descending order (King, Queen, Jack, Ten, etc.), alternating suit colors (red, black, red, black, etc.). Start creating card piles among the seven tableau columns.Arrange all the cards in four foundation piles on the upper right in ascending order from high rank (King) to low rank (Ace) and by suit. So, while it would be a pain, I don’t think it would be a disaster, for me anyway… However, learning AppleScript has given me the start I needed to learn other things too. But, whatever the opposite of vanilla is (I’m gonna say Neapolitan AppleScript), including Script Debugger, FastScripts, all the third party libraries, and all the shared knowledge going back 20+ years… that is pretty amazing. Long story short, vanilla AppleScript sucks. So, while I have no doubt that Apple would shut down AppleScript at some point for brute commercial reasons, I very much doubt they’d do the same for accessibility functions. AppleScript has become absolutely integral to my life for that reason. I suffered really terrible RSI and had to figure out a way of working. In fact, that’s basically how I got into Mac automation. If, in some wild nightmare, I had to make a pitch for AppleScript’s continued existence to an Apple exec, I would probably emphasise how important this integration is for accessibility purposes. Also, while Apple is a vast, ruthless, profit-pursuing machine, one thing that they have given much greater attention to in the past than would be strictly necessary for business purposes is accessibility. However, there are quite a few mainstream apps out there that rely on AppleScript for their feature set. Obviously AppleScript users are a fringe of a fringe of a fringe from a commercial point of view. It was all a big black box to me until one day I looked at the Script Debugger Explorer View, and realised ‘Ah! So that’s how it works!’ It got me over that hump in the learning curve that had always defeated my curiosity in the past. But also that I could do these things with these tools. It was really a revelation when I realised what I could do with these tools. What I can say for sure is that I would never have learned to code if it wasn’t for AppleScript, but then I would never have learned AppleScript if it wasn’t for Script Debugger. What that means for AppleScript/Apple Events, I have no idea. Its future seems to be as services ecosystem that uses its hardware for user lock-in. Low skills, complex needs, willingness to learn.ĪppleScript seems to me to be an amazing idea that was about 70% realised by the mid-2000s, and is about 69% realised now… Since then, Apple has gone from being a computer company that happens to make phones to a phone company that happens to make computers. I’d say that I am pretty much exactly the target market for AppleScript. Until just over a year ago, I’d never written a script in my life. It would provide a clear path forward for those of us who love AppleScript for what it can do (even if we don’t love the language itself). Proper Swift scripting support would at least address a lot of the pain points of AppleScript while waiting for Apple to get their automation strategy sorted (if indeed that ever happens). I think Swift would be the obvious way forward, if Apple was able to provide better support for scripting using Swift, with a proper Apple Event bridge, tooling, and some minor additions to the language that would take away the friction of using it for scripting (some sort of source “import” function, support for loading local swift packages similar to swift-sh, a more permissive syntax mode, etc). It really is a pig of a language, and a lot of its “magic” comes from the first-class Apple Event support it receives from applications & its integration with macOS as a whole. returns 2.3334445557E+10, rather than erroring out if "as integer" is usedĪ silly example here, perhaps, but I only came across double integer because the above handler choked with a regular integer.įor what it’s worth, I understand a lot of the sentiment here, but agree with Mark (and Hamish) that AppleScript doesn’t really have a viable future. Set rounded_n to rounded_n * (10 ^ -decimal_places) Set rounded_n to rounded_n as double integer Set rounded_n to n * (10 ^ decimal_places) If decimal_places is 0 or less, the return type is integer, otherwise it is real. Return n rounded to the nearest decimal position specified by decimal_places. (example of the only place I've ever used it) to roundTo(n, decimal_places) I believe they’re referring to the fact that the integer type has a maximum positive or negative value of 536,870,911 (which would make it a 30-bit value…) 64-bit values are needed in many places nowadays.ĪppleScript actually has a double integer class that should hold a wider range of values, but it’s not implemented properly & is not very useful. So there was someone who I didn't know personally but worked in my department before I got there who got in an elevator and looked up and Steve was approaching him and so he went to press the button to open the door and accidentally pressed the one to close the door. those Steve Jobs' lore was that if you were in an elevator with him, you better be prepared to talk about what you do at the company because he had a habit of getting in the elevator and looking at you and saying, "What do you do? What do you do here?" And there were also rumors that people who had not given him a good answer, that ended up being their last day at Apple. Hello, Welcome back to and I’m Pokemoner. Shot was about 130 yards I hit the animal in the forehead, and there was very minimal bullet expansion, in fact the bullet didn't even exit. I harvested a Sika this past August with a Hornady 165-grain SST with 13 grains of the Trailboss. Soundguy, I am not aware of a bullet mfg called "aim" can you elaborate? Do any of you guys have any experience with other powders and loads? When you referred to a 220-grain 300 Blk, is there one brand better than another, or am I going to need to rely on trial-by-error? Also, do you guys know if bullet mfgrs like Hornady, Nosler, Speer, Barnes etc, have load data available that is not in their manuals for powder recommendations for suppressed loads? As I mentioned initially, I have used IMR Trailboss. normally I don't refer to the cartridge in NATO terms, so honestly I just made a terminology mistake. JLA, I know I said 7.69 but I meant 7.62. In addition, once I shoot the hogs with a non-supressd load I can pretty much forget about harvesting a large Axix or Whitetail buck because he will be heading for the next county by he time I chamber another round.Hence i thought the supressor wouldincrease my odds. Prior to getting my supressor, when I shot full loads I had to wait until two hogs got side by side and could shoot the front pig in the ear, in order to harvest two pigs, but when there are twenty hogs under the feeder, it was a shame for so many other to get away. The pigs on my lease are praying that no one in this forum can help me! Does anyone in this forum know which bullet this is and most importantly what powder and load weight is that I need to use, and of coarse where I may get the bullet and powder. He is not a reloader and doesn't know anything about the round other than it is chambered for their standard bolt action 7.69 rifle with a suppressor and make noise. I have a good friend in the Army that says the Army uses a bullet that is accurate to 600 meters, and travels at 750fps with devastaing expansion. Basically it only drills a hole, so that means I can only rely on head shots. Also, because the bullet is moving sub-sonic when it hits the game there is little to no bullet expansion/ fragmenting, hence extremly limited knock-down. Here are my problems: First more than 15 grains makes too much noise and startles the game too much yet <13 grains and the bullet hits (eratically) 4-6" off bull. The powder I have found to be most effective is 13-15 grains of IMR Trailboss with a Federal 210 primer. Speer is consitantly 2" to right of bull. My best results have been with the Hornady, then the Nosler. Due to the scarcity of bullets we all have been aware of, I have been using 165 grain Speer GS, 165 grain Nosler green tips, and/ or 165 grain Hornady SST. So I purchased an Advanced Armament supressor for my Ruger M77 Scout and have been trying to develop an effective suppressed handload for a 1:10 twist barrel. Any of you that have hunted hogs know that you get one, maybe two shots before they disappear. 308's for hunting Axis, Whitetail, and Feral hogs. I'm new, as of this morning to this forum, so I apoligize in advance if this is a dead horse topic, but here goes.įor about two years I've been reloading. |
